Do I have to create an account to donate?
No (unless you want to use PayPal)! You can give with a credit card or a check without creating an account. To give with a credit card, select “Credit Card” as your payment method and fill out the appropriate form. To donate via check, select “Offline Donation” and follow the directions, or mail the check to:

Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes! One by One International, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation registered with the IRS. This means that if you pay taxes in the US, your donations to One by One can be deducted along with your other itemized deductions.

At the end of the year, we will send you a receipt itemizing all your donations from that year. If you need a receipt sooner than that, please contact us.

Will my donation go toward the specific need I select?
Yes, in almost every case. We promise to honor your generosity and the intention behind your donation. We only raise funds for items and projects for which we need funds. However, the costs we list on them are estimates only, and in instances in which we receive more funding than we need for any particular project, the extra funds will be used to meet similar needs in similar categories.

I donated to an item that has a progress meter…why didn’t it affect the “Amount Raised”?
If you donated via check, please note that your donation will not show on the website until your check has been deposited. If you gave with an online method and it hasn’t affected the “Amount Raised”, please contact us so we can make sure your donation went through.
