One by One suspended all in-person activities several weeks ago due to the threat of Covid-19.
We are daily in prayer for the kids and youth, and we keep up with them through various forms of electronic communication (hear more about that in a 2-minute video here). Until we have a better idea of the risk to our kids and staff of meeting together, the majority of our ministry will be online (and our staff is getting pretty creative with this). We don’t know what the future will hold, but we are anxiously seeking ways to continue to effectively minister to them.
This means a few things:
1) For the time being, the sponsorship program will likely not be focused on deepening education, but we will continue to bless, serve, and pour into the child you sponsor as wisely as we can in this unpredictable time.
2) We may not have an updated headshot of your sponsored child for some time. Getting individual pictures of all the kids takes a surprising amount of time, and we were about halfway through when we decided to suspend activities.
3) Kids need ministry now more than ever. As far as you are able, please continue to give and pray to provide them with as much help and stability as possible. Writing short notes to them to encourage them or let them know you are praying might be especially appreciated right now.
